Star Wars - Redemption | Jedi Knights

Hello there !

Jedi Knights are an iconic part of Star Wars universe and here is my take on it. I first wanted to populate the Coruscant Archives level with elegant Jedi statues, with various poses. To do so, instead of sculpting poses one by one, I wanted to build a "rig-able statue", but I ended up thinking it could be a cool thing to bring on Jedi Knights into the demo. Like always : unplanned stuff is most welcome to the project =)
I had fun with the design of 5 new hilts, taking inspiration mostly from prequel art content, and it was a really pleasant experience to make characters once again, in a universe I truly love. Perhaps I'll place some of these Jedi into other levels, it's always wonderful to cross the path of another "lightsaber-dude" aha ;)
About the technical stuff now :
HighPoly fully done on ZBrush
LowPoly done on 3dsMax (except hilts, done on ZBrush)
UVs done on 3dsMax
Texturing fully done on 3D-Coat
Bake/lighting/rendering done on Marmoset Toolbag
Rig/Skin/anim done on Akeytsu
Made to run on StarWars-Redemption, a fan game demo built under Unreal Engine 4

Sur ce, des Bisous ♥

Quick idle test, made with only 4 keyframes (numbers you see at the bottom of the UI in the timeline ;)). Done in 30min (if not less)

Female Akeytsu rIg. Every part can be animated manually =)

I mostly "sculpt" in subD modeling, I found this better to achieve neat designs and maintain stable edgeflows all around the model. When necessary I dive into real sculpt of course =)
